At Apple I designed the controls behind Call Screening, one of the standout new additions to Phone in iOS 26. When an unknown number calls, iPhone can now ask who is calling and why before it ever rings. The settings live here, where people switch that on and shape how it behaves.

The work spanned the Screen Unknown Callers and Call Filtering controls across iPhone, iPad, and Mac: how each option is grouped, worded, and ordered so a genuinely complicated system reads as a few calm decisions. It ships in iOS today.
