Apple — Live Voicemail on Mac (text block)

Live Voicemail · Phone for Mac · macOS 26

I brought Live Voicemail to the Mac. When a call goes to voicemail, the Mac now shows a live, on-device transcript of the message as it’s spoken, so you can read who’s calling and why, and pick up mid-message if it matters. It shipped as part of the Phone app’s Continuity experience in macOS 26.

Bringing an iPhone feature to a new platform meant rethinking where it lives: a message that transcribes in real time inside a desktop notification, and the calm set of controls to answer, stop, or wave it away. It ships in macOS today.
